Summer Lovin'

Many scouts love the taking advantage of the summer garage sales. As summer ends so do the amount of garage sales. However, you can still find garage sales in the fall months ahead.

During winter many scouts have to dig a bit deeper into their available resources. The key for most scouts in the winter months is to stock up on inventory during summer.

63rd Annual Emmy Awards

This Sunday you can tune in and watch the 63rd Annual Emmy Awards show. The event will commend TV shows with the acclaimed Emmy. The ceremony has been around for 63 years. Year after year viewers tune in to see the award get handed out.

I started thinking about all the Amazon sellers out their who do such a great job and don't recieve any sort of trophy. I realized that Amazon sellers do have an equivelent to the Emmy award. Your feedback is your trophy.

For all you Amazon sellers who feel they deserve a trophy, take a look at your feedback rating. It's a trophy in disguise!

Kindle Special Offers

Would you purchase the Kindle with a $25 discount if it had an advertisement banner on the display? Or, would you pay the extra $25 for an add-free Kindle?

The good news is that the $25 discounted Kindle doesn't display the ad while reading your book. It's just another choice for the overwhelmed consumer.

What would you do?

ScoutPal Has Some New Hardware

The most common device used while scouting is a PDA and some sort of scanner. PDA's are becomming more scarce as time goes by. However, you can still find a PDA with Windows Mobile Operating System. They are still out there to be purchased.

While PDA's are diminishing, there are plenty of phones that utilize Windows Mobile Operating System. ScoutPal has taken advantage of a phone that has Windows Mobile O.S. that will work with ScoutPalDB.

We have recently added a new hardware setup for our customers. The Samsung Omnia II and Scan Fob 2002. The Samsung is a phone that has Windows Mobile O.S. and the Scan Fob is a Cordles Hand Scanner that uses Bluetooth. The great thing about the Omnia II is that you can activate the phone and do "Live" look ups as well as using ScoutPals Database. Or, you can leave the phone un-activated and just use the Windows Mobile Operating System with ScoutPalDB. The Scan Fob is a powerful little scanner that can fit into the coin pocket of your blue jeans!

The Scan Fob 2002 is a diverse handheld Bluetooth scanner. You can use it with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Windows 7/2008/Vista/2003/XP, BlackBerry, Android, Symbian S60, Windows Mobile, J2ME, PalmOS, and more!
